Job Description

We are looking for a qualified team member to respond to requests for technical assistance related to technology in our customers’ business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound technical support calls from clients

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and e-mail

  • Remotely resolve computer and network-related hardware and software problems for clients

  • Build and test client computers and related peripherals in preparation for delivery

  • Input support tickets into tracking system as clients call

  • Occasional on-site repair of client equipment / on-site technical problem resolution

  • Research issues using available information resources

  • Advise user and related contacts on appropriate action

  • Redirect / escalate problems to correct resources for resolution

  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention

  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates

  • Monitor alerts and alarms from monitoring systems, create tickets, triage, and resolve issues

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Related experience and training in troubleshooting and providing helpdesk support

  • Associates degree in computer science or IT related field preferred

  • 2 or more years in IT technical support in direct, hands-on role, preferably in call center or held desk role

  • Related experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk support

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Must be a self-starter

  • Must have problem solving skills and the ability to work through situations to resolution

  • Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems

Must have valid Driver’s License
Physically able to climb ladder and repetitively lift items weighing up to 40 pounds
Will be regularly using common hand tools such as screwdrivers, scissors, etc.

Job description

We are looking for a qualified field technician with either MSP experience, or systems administration experience. This is an in-office and on-premises opportunity.

Key Skills:

  • Operating Systems: Windows OS, Windows Server, Linux, VOIP, VMWare.

  • Hardware: Servers, Layer2/Layer3 Iswitching, Layer4/Layer7 Firewalls.

  • Software: Windows Server 2012+ R2, IIS, VPN

  • Networking: TCP/IP; IPSec, SIP, BGP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, VOIP, WiFi.

  • English is required

  • Strong troubleshooting and reasoning skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing installations and updates for IT hardware and software systems.

  • Manage backups, storage, and retrieval functions of critical data.

  • Provide day-to-day support to improve workflow in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot network, network firewalls, network servers.

  • Upgrade and maintain computer anti-virus on the network to ensure data security and protection.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer and other IT equipment problems and malfunctions.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues.

  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot VOIP PBX/SBC . **

  • Identify and resolve technical issues to reduce downtime.

  • Monitor IT systems for proper operation and working conditions.

  • Ensure all IT systems are working efficiently and optimally.

  • Report all concerns to the IT Director for direction and guidance.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in IT Operations including Windows servers knowledge of common tools, methods, and techniques.

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in networks and/or server monitoring skills.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year accredited college plus 10 years of professional experience; or five years of related experience. **

  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Systems, IIS, Windows Server Fire Wall, TCP/IP.

  • Strong experience with and knowledge of routers and network protocols (Cisco, Ubiquiti, SonicWall).

  • Experience in network monitoring and implementation.

  • Experience in current internet network hardware and software technologies as well as desktop configuration and/or troubleshooting.

  • Experience with PC based tools and products, RDP, MS Office suite.

  • General understanding DB concepts and MS SQL Server is an advantage.

  • Experience working with managed hosting environments and vendors a plus.

  • Administration, strong knowledge of production and development environments, and cloud technology (AWS/Azure).

  • Extensive storage management experience.

  • Written and oral fluency in the English language.

  • Industry recognized certifications such as MCSE or CCNP or Network+ or A+, VCP6-7.
